About Course

AI Companion for Teachers is a practical, skill-based professional development course designed to empower teachers in Nigeria and across Africa with the digital and artificial intelligence (AI) tools needed to simplify and improve daily classroom tasks.

The course is created by a certified teacher for teachers like him that are sick and tired of manual boring works, it focuses on how educators can use AI and essential digital platforms such as Google Workspace, mobile scanning apps, and document tools, to create lesson notes, generate exam/test questions (including OBJ), design quizzes, produce teaching materials, organize digital files, and enhance classroom productivity.

Through hands-on activities, real Nigerian curriculum examples, and step-by-step practice, teachers learn how to integrate AI responsibly and efficiently into their teaching workflow.

This course prepares educators for the modern African classroom where digital literacy and AI-enhanced teaching are becoming essential.

This course provides teachers with practical training on using AI as a teaching assistant that helps save time, reduce workload, and improve the quality of instructional materials. The course begins with a simplified introduction to AI tailored for African educators, then moves into real classroom applications such as writing lesson notes, generating test questions, creating quizzes, and preparing teaching aids.
Teachers will also develop critical digital skills using Google Workspace (Docs, Drive, Slides, Forms), learn how to convert documents to PDF, use mobile phone scanner apps, manage digital folders, and integrate AI safely in the classroom. The course includes hands-on exercises, weekly assignments, and a final capstone project that demonstrates mastery of AI-assisted teaching.
By the end of the program, teachers will be confident in using AI tools to enhance teaching effectiveness, improve documentation, and support their students with digital learning strategies.
